Changing Lives

Your gifts make an impact on every University of Hartford student, changing their lives by giving them access to the UHart experience.

Students like Rogelio Ward '20—a psychology major aspiring to help children in urban and disenfranchised communities—are able to pursue their passions, thanks to scholarship aid. Ward benefited from an endowed scholarship created through a legacy gift in honor of Rose Kleman, a lifetime educator with a passion for education.

There are hundreds of endowed scholarship funds, like Kleman's—among an overall total of 663 endowed funds—that provide vital aid for UHart students. Income generated from these endowed funds support students year after year, and will continue to do so for generations to come.

The University of Hartford is committed to ensuring that every one of our students have the tools and support to succeed.

In our new Center for Student Success, which opened its doors on Oct. 15, 2019, we provide the mentors, guidance, and collaborative spaces to help fulfill our commitment.

More than 1,200 gifts totaling $525,500 is changing lives and building leaders in Hartford Athletics. Alongside many notable victories this year, our student-athletes posted 3.0 or higher GPAs for the 26th consecutive semester. Their average cumulative GPA for the academic year was 3.29, the third highest in Hartford Athletics' history.

The legacy of the Hartford College for Women is stronger than ever thanks to the Women's Advancement Initiative. The more than $105,000 raised in FY2019 supports unique leadership programs and education that empowers women leaders.

I have met amazing people and faculty members, all of whom I will cherish forever. I have learned so much from the professors here at UHart.
