Research Interests

My research focuses on the molecular mechanisms that govern cellular responses to environmental, therapeutic, and genetic perturbations. My work draws on approaches in molecular genetics and cellular biology to investigate questions with applications in regenerative biology, human genetics, toxicology, and therapeutic development.

My recent and ongoing research explores the biological effects of naturally derived compounds with potential therapeutic applications, the functional consequences of genetic variation, and, through collaborative studies, the molecular mechanisms underlying tissue maintenance and regeneration.

A central theme of my research is understanding how alterations at the molecular and genetic levels influence cellular function and how those mechanisms may be leveraged to inform new therapeutic strategies.
