We’re excited to celebrate the Classes of 2020 and 2021 at our in-person Commencement ceremonies on May 15 and 16 at the XL Center in downtown Hartford!

UHart will host five separate ceremonies at the XL Center in downtown Hartford during the weekend of Saturday, May 15, and Sunday, May 16. See ceremony breakdown. This venue gives us the best option to safely welcome our graduates with guests, without the additional weather concerns related to outdoor ceremonies. These ceremonies will be streamlined to keep the focus where it belongs—on the students from the Classes of 2020 and 2021 and their wonderful accomplishments during these most challenging of times.

How to Attend
  • Livestream: A livestream of each ceremony will be available for viewing on our website. Ceremonies will also be recorded and shared so that they can be viewed on demand at your convenience,
  • In Person: Students who completed the required Response to Attend Form (due April 6), and indicated that they wanted to attend in person, will be allotted up to two tickets each for their guests. Attendees should have also completed the Cap and Gown Order Form by April 6 to reserve your regalia.

Each of the ceremonies will be livestreamed and that the names of all graduating students will be read, regardless of whether they are celebrating in person or at home.
