Teaching Focus: Verrochi believes health and education should be as enjoyable as they are challenging, and she takes a project-driven approach to helping students develop and hone their academic skills. She teaches in the community service learning portion of Project Horizon, the capstone of the RN to BSN program, as well as the introductory course of the MSN program, with a focus on preparing students to survive and thrive in graduate school. She has also developed an elective, Gender and Sexual Minority Healthcare Issues.

Professional Interests: Verrochi has a keen interest in health disparities and how nurses can work to mitigate them. She presented her study - Gender and Sexual Minority Healthcare Satisfaction in Connecticut - in a roundtable session at the Connecticut Public Health Association's 2015 Annual Meeting. She is currently pursuing Drexel University's certificate in LGBT Public Health.
