Verrochi believes health and education should be as enjoyable as they are challenging, and she takes a project-driven approach to helping students develop and hone their academic skills. She teaches Population Health in the RN-BSN and prelicensure BSN programs. In the MSN program, she teaches Epidemiology and has developed and teaches an elective titled Gender and Sexual Minority Healthcare Issues.

Verrochi has a keen interest in health disparities and how nurses can work to mitigate them. Her primary focus is an intersectional approach to LGBTQIA+ health.
