Ted Diehl has taught at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy for a total of seven years. He served as the principal structural engineer in the naval architecture department on several projects including structural and design and modifications of deck houses for Military Sealift Command (MSC) vessels and the design of replacement masts, science lab, sonar appendage and crane foundation for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) vessels.
