Ted Diehl teaches solid mechanics courses in the MAAE department including Dynamics, Elements of Mechanical Design, Mechanical Design, and Mechanisms.  He is the Faculty Advisor to the FSAE Race Team and the ASME Student Section.  Before entering academia, Ted worked for seventeen years in the maritime industry as a design engineer and analyst performing ship design and modifications to structure, main propulsion and auxiliary systems for a variety of commercial and government clients.
