Education
BFA, Printmaking, Hartford Art School, University of Hartford
Ashley Berube was born in Southington, Connecticut. She received her BFA with a concentration in printmaking from the Hartford Art School in 2014. Since graduating, she worked at the New Britain Museum of American Art, and as a print assistant for artist John Willis prior to coming joining the admissions team.
Berube primarily works in drawing and lithography as she pursues her interests in conflicting and contradicting spaces. Her work is informed by the examination of contemporary architecture and the spatial relationships between indoor and outdoor spaces. She identifies with the work of Brice Marden and Sean Scully.
