Summerterm at a Glance

Use the summer months to earn credits, stay on track, or explore something new!

Summerterm is a flexible way to make progress toward your degree while keeping momentum through the summer. Courses are open to current UHart students, international students, and students from other universities, and are offered in a range of instructional formats to support different learning needs.

Request to Drop

Drop requirements will be issued with your registration confirmation. Any request to be dropped from a course beyond the drop deadlines set forth by the University will not be processed. To continue and request to drop from a course currently enrolled in, please fill out the following online drop form for guest students. University of Hartford students are to use their Self-Service account.

Classroom Formats

Summerterm courses are offered in several instructional formats. The format for each course is listed in the course description.

• In-person: Classes meet on campus at scheduled times.
• Hybrid: A combination of in-person and online instruction.
• Remote (synchronous): Online classes that meet at scheduled times.
• Online (asynchronous): Online classes completed on your own schedule.
