Welcome to Summerterm at the University of Hartford.
Registration for Summer 2021 is open
Ideal for students home from college and perfect for adult learners looking to begin a master's degree or finish their bachelor's, Summerterm puts you in charge. You make the call:
- Flexible Schedules
- Introductory or Advanced-Level, including graduate courses
- 500+ Classes Online
- 2-week, or 6-week, session
What won't vary are the small class sizes that will give you a front-row seat and individualized access to professors.
Our flexible schedule will allow you time to hit your favorite vacation spot, and our competitive per-credit rates will leave you money to do so.
Your summer starts—but does not end—here.
Classroom Format—A Blended Approach
We have created a blended approach to academics for the summer offering classes in a variety of formats:
- Traditional in-person classes will meet at a specific time and place that is reflected on your schedule.
- Hybrid: These classes are a mix of in-person and online, depending upon the needs of the class. Some meetings will be in person, while others will be online, as determined by the faculty member. For example, if you have a Tuesday, Thursday course, the instructor may tell you that it meets in person on Tuesdays and online on Thursdays.
- Remote: These classes are fully online but meet at a specific time (synchronous).
- Online: These classes are fully online and do not meet at a specific time (asynchronous).
