Hannah Morris has focused her career on learning, in all environments, with all ages.

From 1999 to 2016, Hannah taught, coached, and advised students in three independent schools: Holderness School, The Elisabeth Morrow School, and Choate Rosemary Hall. During that time, Hannah spent over a year living in France completing her first master’s degree in French with Middlebury College. Passionate about language and culture, Hannah also led abroad programs with Putney Student Travel and Choate Rosemary Hall.

In 2016, Hannah joined The Latimer Group, a small training, coaching, and consulting firm focused on persuasive communication. She began as the manager of participant experience, and gradually moved into the role of workshop facilitator and coach, teaching courses such as Executive Communication Skills and Powerful Leadership Presence. Later, as the director of facilitation and evaluation, Hannah led teams of facilitators, coaches, and writers, delivered trainings for professionals from new hires to executive leaders, and eagerly collaborated in the design and development of new and existing courses.

This work led Hannah to pursue a second master’s degree in organizational psychology, which is what brought her to the University of Hartford. There, she rediscovered a passion for academic research and writing, especially in studying the role feedback plays for individuals, teams, and organizations. Hannah continues her research through the SHINE Lab, a researcher-practitioner lab with the University of Hartford, and in collaboration with a team from Florida Tech.

“Leadership lies dormant in so many of us. If no one draws it out, it may never be seen or heard. When we provide young women with essential skills, opportunities for growth, and a vision of themselves as the leaders that they are, we empower them to pursue careers with intention and seek avenues to change their worlds. Through the LEAD (Leadership Education and Development) program, we are developing future leaders who can navigate challenge and adversity with resilience, courage, and awareness. We are drawing out what lies inside that is truly powerful and unique to each of them. It is an honor to carry on the legacy of Hartford College for Women through The Women’s Advancement Initiative at the University of Hartford.”
