Christina Stone ’24, ’25 is a proud alumna of The Women’s Advancement Initiative’s LEAD Program at the University of Hartford. She received her master's in organizational psychology from the College of Arts and Sciences in 2025, where she was the recipient of the Regents Honor Award for Graduate Students. In 2024, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and philosophy. During her time at the University of Hartford, Christina worked in the Allan Center for Career and Professional Development, volunteered as an ambassador for the College of Arts and Sciences, and she played on the women’s soccer team. As a three-year captain of the soccer team, she was recognized as CNE Scholar-Athlete of the Year, earned All-American honors, and was awarded the Elite 20 Award.

In 2024, she was the Leadership Development intern at The Women’s Advancement Initiative. In this role, she gained experience with student engagement, program administration and logistics, facilitation and curriculum design, and event planning. Christina is passionate about leadership development, community service, and cultivating belonging.

In 2022, she became an intern for the Loomis Chaffee School Summer Program. In this role, she served as a teaching assistant, advised students, worked as a dorm head and residence assistant, facilitated afternoon activities and weekend excursions, and coordinated the talent show. In 2023, she returned to the Loomis Chaffee School as a campus life associate. She also proctored AP exams and standardized testing at the School. Christina’s early career can be summarized as one of embracing opportunities and motivating others.

“My goal is to give back to the LEAD program and have a positive impact on students in the same way the program impacted me. I learned many valuable skills and lessons, formed friendships, and gained supportive mentors through this program. I am extremely grateful for everything that the LEAD program has done for me. I am excited to continue to serve the University of Hartford community by supporting students and honoring the legacy of Hartford College for Women.”
