Amanda Milne

Graduate Amanda Milne recently received her master’s degree in music instrumental performance (violin) through UHart’s Hartt School.  This program, which focuses on Suzuki Pedagogy, is a two-year program lead by internationally acclaimed Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) teacher trainers. Students are mentored through classroom lectures, guided observations of private lessons, group classes, and ensembles. Amanda says that she “was so glad I had the opportunity to study with the wonderful teacher trainers at the school, especially Katie Lansdale.”

In addition to her musical training in the classroom, Milne was able to exercise her violin skill set by teaching Suzuki Violin at Ridgefield Suzuki School in Connecticut.  It was there that she taught part-time during the school year and was “fortunate enough to be offered a full-time position starting this fall.”

We wish Amanda luck in her new musical endeavor as she begins her life after UHart.

The Hartt Suzuki Pedagogy Master's degree is one of the top programs in the country. I am so glad I had the opportunity to study with the wonderful teacher trainers at the school.
