Minimum Wage Increase
Connecticut law specifies that all employers must pay their employees enough to meet the state’s minimum wage requirement. The minimum wage in Connecticut is the greater of (1) a rate established by the legislature or (2) ½ of 1% higher than the federal minimum wage, rounded to the nearest cent.
HRD and Payroll are working together to adjust affected individuals below $11.00 per hour to the mandatory minimum wage rate effective October 1, 2019. Departments will not need to submit a revised ePAF and/or Roster Form unless you wish to pay the student/temporary worker more than the mandatory minimum wage.
