Book Talk "It's a Setup: Fathering from the Social and Economic Margins"

Tim Black, former Director of the Center for Social Research in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice, will be on campus on Oct. 24, at 4 p.m., to discuss his most recent book, It's a Setup: Fathering from the Social and Economic Margins, co-authored with Sky Keyes and published by Oxford University Press in 2021. He is currently a professor of sociology at Case Western Reserve University and is the author of three award-winning books.

It's a Setup: Fathering from the Social and Economic Margins draws on a decade of statewide research on low-income fathers in Connecticut conducted at the Center for Social Research. The book won the 2023 book award from the North Central Sociological Association.
