A message from the Executive Director for EO/Title IX Compliance:

No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. —Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972

We ask for your continued assistance and support in cultivating an environment consistent with the University of Hartford’s core values and free from sexual violence and other sexual misconduct. We encourage you to take the time to become more familiar with your responsibilities relative to Title IX and the Violence Against Women Act.

As a reminder, faculty and staff, as Responsible Employees*, have a duty to report and are required to immediately report all allegations of sexual harassment, sexual violence, stalking, and sexual misconduct—even when the reporter requests confidentiality—to the following personnel listed below:

For emergencies or after-hours assistance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, call Public Safety at 860.768.7985.

*Responsible Employee: Any employee, except those designated in writing by the University of Hartford in accordance with applicable law to maintain confidentiality (e.g., counselors, student health services and pastoral services) must promptly report any incidents of sexual harassment (sexual assault, partner violence, stalking, gender-based harassment) occurring on campus involving a University of Hartford student or employee to the Title IX Compliance office (listed above).
