Udall Foundation Scholarships

The Udall fellowship provides grants of up to $7,000 for over 50 students each year. It is named for Morris K. and Stewart L. Udall, former Senators from Arizona with a strong interest in both the environment and Native American policy. Read more about the program here.

There are three areas to which students can apply:

Two are for students of Native American or Native Alaskan descent (one to focus on tribal policy, one on native health care), and one is for non-native students with an interest in the environment.

Specifically, the awards are for:

  • Native Americans and Alaska Natives working on an array of policy issues in Indian country.
  • Native Americans and Alaska Natives pursuing health-related careers.
  • Non-native undergraduates interested in conservation and environmental issues.

If this sounds like you, please consider applying. Review information about the fellowship at the above link, and if eligible, please contact Katharine Owens with questions at kowens@hartford.edu.
