The University of Hartford will close for the holiday break at the end of the day on Thursday, Dec. 21, will reopen for remote business operations on Tuesday, Jan. 2, and will resume a normal on-campus schedule on Wednesday, Jan. 10.
Electrical shutdowns during the break are scheduled for Dec. 22 and Dec. 28.

During the remote-work period (Jan. 2-9), Harrison Libraries will be open weekdays to accommodate students, faculty, and staff who need to use library resources or wish to use the building to work. Mortensen Library will be open Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while Allen Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The libraries will be closed on weekends.
Since the University will be closed for the entire period of Dec. 22–Jan. 1, it is suggested that employees set phone voicemail and e-mail auto response to indicate that messages may not be checked until Tuesday, Jan. 2.
Campus buildings will reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Facilities and Public Safety will monitor buildings and grounds throughout the shutdown and remote work period.
