Call for Research Volunteers for Mindfulness and Mobility Study

Many people are experiencing symptoms of burnout and stress due to factors that can negatively impact their professional and personal endeavors. Yet, there are ways to minimize these effects through enhancing wellbeing.

A great opportunity to enhance wellbeing comes from mindfulness, which has been shown to reduce burnout, improve resilience, and enhance wellbeing in academics and alike. Likewise, research also shows that movement (e.g., stretching) can help burnout and improve physical and mental performance.

We are seeking faculty and staff volunteers to participate in the Mindfulness and Movement (MiMo) pilot study which seeks to address burnout, stress and physical mobility through 10-minute mindfulness and movement videos delivered asynchronously twice a week.

For more information about the study, contact either Barbara Sanchezbasanchez@hartford.edu, or Sujata Normansnorman@hartford.edu.
