Please join us as we celebrate Julie Barnofski Portfolio's promoted to director of Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP)!
Julie Barnofski Portfolio is an exemplary member of the University Community and has had a profound impact on OSP. She joined the University in 2018 as the assistant director of OSP, and over the past five years, has worked with faculty and staff across all seven schools and colleges to pursue external grant funding for their research and professional endeavors. She prioritizes transparency and meeting people where they are, and is extremely dedicated, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented when it comes to the grant process.
In addition to her commitment to OSP, Julie recently completed coursework toward an MBA and is currently participating in the Laura Johnson Leaders Program from the Women's Advancement Initiative. Julie also volunteers her time for Southington Education Foundation and is kept exceptionally busy by her two young children. Prior to joining UHart, Julie worked as the Grants Manager for several years at area nonprofits including the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, and has also served as an Assistant Professor of Photography at Marywood University. Given her professional and educational (MFA in photography and MA in art history) experiences, she has a special interest in the arts and making excellent creative projects happen.
