The spring semester recently crowned its first intramural champion of the new year in the 5v5 intramural basketball league. Congratulations to the team "Dem1s" for finishing the season undefeated with an impressive 8-0 run to close out the season. The league has been one of the most significant leagues that UHart Rec has composed thus far with 14 teams and 150 participants registered.
The semi-finals and championship were held in the arena, which was an excellent experience for all spectators and participants. New this year, Central Connecticut State University is running a regional Intrmaural Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 1st representing local colleges Intrmaural Basketball champions to compete against each other. Colleges representing in the tournament consist of the University of Hartford, University of Connecticut, Western Connecticut State University, Quinnipiac University, Western New England University, University of New Haven, University of Massachusetts, and Central Connecticut State University.
Jordan Ruiz and teammates captained "Dem1s" consisting of Randy Aboagye, Peter Bateman Jr, Elijah Brooks, Jonathan Durodola, Jaquwonne Johnson, Alex Sanon, Jalen Sullivan, and Jordan Sumbry.
