Join us for the Diversity Week Kickoff on March 18, from 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m., in the Wilde Auditorium (Harry Jack Gray Center).

Kamora Herrington will serve as keynote speaker for our opening day workshop where she will address the theme "UMatter@Hart" and emphasize the significance of the concept of “mattering and belonging.”

Kamora Le’Ella Herrington is a mother first, in all of the ways that a mother is. She is the founder and visionary of Kamora’s Cultural Corner and is an active Cultural Humility presenter and educator who began her formal career as a teacher for the City of Hartford’s Early Learning
Centers. Kamora’s Cultural Corner provides both a metaphoric and physical space to learn to use the gifts and privileges of our unique and shared identities. Approaching cultural humility through a Black Queer and Afrocentric perspective we create and navigate Brave Spaces with the intention of building and supporting organic community connections.
