Employee Professional Development Academy: A Collaborative Partnership

I am excited to announce a collaborative professional development initiative for all employees at the University of Hartford. HR has partnered with several departments on campus to begin a rollout of a campus wide employee professional development program. All development opportunities will be listed and supported on one webpage for employees to view the options and register for programs. The webpage is housed under EmPOWER or can be found via the Resources page on the HR webpage.

Programs will aim to be one hour or less in length, and will be offered throughout the year. There will be programs that are offered in person, hybrid, and/or entirely online. The team will continuously work to bring opportunities for development to campus. As the rollout begins, some initial options will be available including, but not limited to:

  • Supervisory Training
  • BANNER Training
  • Budget/Finance Training
  • Technology Training
  • Career/Interview Training
  • UHart Traditions
  • Leadership Development and Communication Skills

We encourage you to check back often and attend programs to enhance your knowledge of the University of Hartford, its systems, and as well opportunities which will be designed to support your development and growth. New options and programs will continuously be added.

I would like to personally thank the kickoff team employees:
