Education Students Become Pen Pals with Local First Grade Students

UHart's third-year early childhood and integrated elementary special education students have been working on a heartwarming project.

As part of their Literacy Methods course with Associate Professor Theresa Abodeeb-Gentile, UHart students have been writing pen pal letters with first grade students at the Annie Fisher STEM Magnet School in Hartford.

Last week, the future educators visited Annie Fisher STEM to meet their pen pals and read with them. Special thanks to the Annie Fisher STEM Magnet School and principal, Erin Wilson-Ruff (adjunct professor at UHart) for hosting us.
