Dear Faculty,
Effective immediately, we are transitioning from Microsoft Teams to Microsoft Education integration within Blackboard. Due to changes in Microsoft's security policies, the current integration between Microsoft Teams and Blackboard will no longer function after Sept. 15. To ensure continued functionality, we have completed this transition before the start of the Fall semester. This change will also provide you with enhanced teaching tools and streamlined access to Microsoft's educational suite.
What is Microsoft Education?
Microsoft Education is a comprehensive digital learning platform that integrates directly with Blackboard, offering:
- Real-time collaboration tools
- AI-powered assignment creation
- Video meetings and file sharing
- Learning accelerators for personalized instruction
- Seamless access without leaving Blackboard
REQUIRED ACTION: Enable Microsoft Education in Your Courses
You must complete this step for each of your active courses:
- Log into your Blackboard course
- Locate the "Details and Actions" pane on the right side of your course page
- Click "Enable Microsoft Education"
- Wait for setup to complete (may take a few minutes)
