Join the 100-Level Faculty Learning Community

We’re excited to invite you to be part of our ongoing 100-Level Faculty Learning Community (FLC)—a supportive, faculty-led space focused on implementing evidence-based practices that promote an inclusive, learning-centered approach to teaching in 100-level courses.

Together, we’ll explore strategies to support first-year students as they navigate the transition to life at UHart. Through open, cross-disciplinary collaboration, we’ll share teaching experiences, reflect on current research, and co-develop practical strategies to enhance learning for all students.

Last year’s discussions included strategies for motivating students, designing meaningful assessments, boosting learner accountability, and using AI to streamline teaching and feedback. This year we will also discuss strategies to effectively adapt our teaching to the university's new college-based general education model.

We welcome your voice and expertise as we continue to shape our teaching community.

The FLC will meet for six in-person sessions in the University Commons Private Dining Room, Mondays from 12:45 p.m.–2 p.m. on the below dates (lunch will be provided):
