We have begun the search for the next provost for the University of Hartford. As the first step in this process, the search firm would like to meet with members of the UHart community to gather information on the critical priorities and characteristics that candidates for this position should possess.
The meetings will be held virtually by Zoom with Margaret (Peggy) Plympton, Concetta Stewart, and Jeanne Melloni from AGB Search.

These sessions are intended for individuals who have not previously attended a listening session. Please limit attendance to one session throughout the process to give as many faculty and staff as possible a chance to engage.
While developing your comments about what we need to consider in our search for a new provost, please consider the following:
1) What are the challenges and opportunities that the next provost will encounter in this role?
2) What will be the measures of success for this person after 3-5 years as provost?
3) What characteristics, prior experience, habits of mind, skills, etc., does this person need to possess to manage the challenges, take advantage of the opportunities, and meet those success measures?
If you are unable to attend any of the listening sessions, please provide input via the survey: [Click Here for Survey]. This survey will close on October 8 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this critical effort. The Provost Search Committee appreciates your thoughtful insights.
