To our campus community,
We want to share an important update about mental health and wellbeing support. The University has recently discontinued its subscription to TalkCampus, the 24/7 student peer-to-peer support platform.
We know how important it is to have access to support when you need it. While TalkCampus is no longer available, there are still many resources here to support your mental health and overall wellbeing:
CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) – Confidential mental health support and counseling. Email: caps@hartford.edu
Office of Student Health and Wellbeing – Holistic wellness, prevention, and support resources. Email: bushell@hartford.edu
Health Services – Medical care and support for your physical and mental health needs. Please call 860.768.6601 or you can schedule an appointment online through your health portal.
Residential Life – Staff available to support and connect you to resources. Email: reslife@hartford.edu
Other campus and community supports may also be available depending on your needs. If you’re not sure where to begin, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Dean of Students Office (860.768.4260). We’re here to help you find the support that’s right for you.
While support might look a little different, it is still very much available, and so are we.
The University is also exploring alternative peer-to-peer support options and will keep the community informed if a new service is selected. You are not alone. We care about you, and we’re here to support your wellbeing.
