What's New in Blackboard this January

Blackboard will be rolling out new updates on Jan. 8–9, bringing improvements designed to make teaching easier, faster, and more intuitive. Our January What’s New in Blackboard video highlights a refreshed user experience with enhanced navigation and course management, along with several important updates to assessments, grading, automations, and Ultra Documents.

Faculty will notice a new look and feel to the interface, improved performance for large multiple-choice and multiple-answer assessments, expanded question options for True/False questions, and a smoother grading workflow. Additional updates include improved Gradebook download options, better visibility into automations through a new activity log, improved automation placement on the Course Home Page, and enhanced usability for Ultra Document block layouts.

Watch the video to see these updates in action and learn how they can help streamline your teaching this semester. If you’d like support exploring any of these features, the Office of Academic Technology & Digital Innovation is here to help.
