Presentations at disciplinary meetings are an important way for graduate students to introduce themselves to the profession and build their network. These presentations also enhance the academic reputation of the student’s graduate program and University. The Director of Graduate Student Experience offers a grant to assist with the preparation and travel expenses of graduate students who give presentations at regional or national professional meetings. Presentations include: talks, posters, exhibits, and performances.
Expenses associated with the purchase of materials, travel, registration, and accommodations may be reimbursed. To apply during the spring, applications must be received by March 2.
Attendance at professional meetings or informal participation in workshops, seminars, discussion panels, or short courses are not eligible for funding.
