At the University of Hartford, we are committed to cultivating rich and mutually beneficial relationships with business, industry, government, and community and not-for-profit partners.

University of Hartford partners connect with the diverse skills, talents, and expertise of our students and faculty in many ways. Some partners visit campus, sharing their expertise as guest lecturers or coaches, while others hire our talented students as interns and full-time employees. Some partners participate in and support community service activities and global outreach initiatives, while others host career development activities and sponsor capstone and undergraduate research projects.

Using these and other touchpoints, University of Hartford partners contribute to the career, entrepreneurial, and intellectual readiness of our students; in return, they have access to a remarkable talent pipeline as well as vibrant and innovative resources for solving organizational and business challenges.

Mindful of the global changes ever-present in today’s world, we offer a diverse and dynamic community of talent and a culture that respects and celebrates the contributions of all of its members. We are proud of our distinguished faculty, notable alumni, and career ready students.

Please feel free to contact Lynn Baronas, Director of Strategic Partnerships, at 860.768.4388 or baronas@hartford.edu to learn more about how partnering with the University of Hartford can increase your corporate visibility while complementing the goals of your organization.

Meet Our Director

barons

I am proud to be the University of Hartford’s first Director of Strategic Partnerships, a role that evolved from our strategic planning process as a way to continue to integrate high quality and mutually beneficial partnerships into our University of Hartford fabric, identity, and culture.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in government from Bates College and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School. Before joining the University of Hartford, I practiced law and worked as a law firm administrator. After almost 30 years in the legal profession, I joined the University of Hartford as Assistant Director, Student and Alumni Engagement.

In that role, I established and cultivated relationships with employers, alumni, and parents, and created internship, full-time employment, and mentoring opportunities for students and alumni. Through my involvement with programs like Express to Success, our alternative spring break job shadow program; the Mock Interview Week at the Barney School of Business; and career-ready events for the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture, I began the work of developing new partnerships and enhancing existing partnerships.

I look forward to exploring ways in which the University and your organization can work together for the greater benefit of those we serve.
