Fall Open House Information

We Look Forward To Seeing You At A Fall Open House!

Everything you need to know about your Open House experience. 

Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. ET at the Gengras Student Union. We encourage you to look at the list of programming and arrive based on what offerings you are interested in. There is no specific time you need to arrive, but please note that check-in closes at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Additional details regarding parking, check-in, and more will be shared via email in the days prior to the event. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email admission@hartford.edu.

Experience UHart in a way that works for you—we've designed our events to be a true open house where you can pick and choose which offerings work for you. We have highlighted for you below the different offerings available throughout the day. 

Event Overview

Resource Fair (8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Departments will be set up on the lawn outside of the Gengras Student Union. Meet representatives from a number of our student support and activities programs.

Check-In (9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.)—Located at the Gengras Student Union
Attendees can arrive any time after 9:00 a.m.. We encourage attendees to look at the schedule of offerings and arrive earlier or later depending upon which activities you wish to participate in. Check-in is open until 10:30 a.m.

Campus Tours (9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Campus Tours are available throughout the day. You will have the opportunity to tour key spaces like the residence halls, the Gengras Student Union, the Sports Center, the main dining hall—the Commons, and the library. Tours depart from the front stairs of Dana Hall. If it is raining, tours will depart from the the lobby of Dana Hall. Tours will depart approximately every 15 minutes.  

Information Sessions (throughout the day)

Join us to learn more about Admission and Financial Aid, Athletics and Recreation, the Center for Student Success, and the Hawk Advantage Program.  

College Programming (10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Our six schools and colleges will have a variety of programming available throughout this time. Check back soon for more details!

While you're on campus, be sure to check out some of our newest spaces including our Grant Family Track and Field, Hursey Center, and the brand new Zachs Hillel Center on the first floor of University Commons

Information Sessions

Join us for an information session on the following topics:

Athletics and Recreation:

Receive an overview of Athletics and Recreation—including our transition to Division III, indoor and outdoor facilities, teams, head coach program contacts and more. Approximate length of presentation is 30 minutes.

10:15 a.m. Location–Shaw Center

Center for Student Success:

The Center for Student Success helps students seamlessly transition into their first year. We connect students to one-on-one tutoring and support in study skills, mental health and wellness, career exploration and internships, financial aid and scholarships, and student clubs and activities. Approximate length of presentation is 30 minutes.

11:15 a.m. Location–Shaw Center

Admission and financial aid:

Learn more about the admission process at UHart with the Dean of Admission and Executive Director of Financial Aid. Approximate length of presentation is 45 minutes.
