Support UHart Fundraising Initiatives

Philanthropy is a part of the University's culture. Sometimes philanthropy comes in the form of volunteering time and knowledge, sometimes it comes on a more tangible, monetary form. By volunteering as a philanthropy ambassador you do both, and by doing so maximize your impact on the University in important ways.

PHILANTHROPY AMBASSADORS

Philanthropy ambassadors have an enormous impact on the University of Hartford and its students and programs. By promoting and informing your peers about the importance of giving back, UHart students will benefit from more donors supporting their education.

  • Education
Education about giving back is often the first step when someone is deciding to make a donation to the University of Hartford. Philanthropy ambassadors can help friends and peers understand what their gift supports and what impact they can make!

  • Crowdfunding
From time to time, the University uses crowdfunding as a way to generate support for specific campus initiatives—from building renovations to student projects to faculty research. For crowdfunding campaigns to reach their goal they need, well, a crowd! When a group of passionate supporters does outreach and fundraises on behalf of the cause they can get more friends, and peers, and colleagues to make gifts. By sharing these campaigns widely, you help more campus projects receive the funding they need to come to life!

  • Founders Day Challenge
The Founders Day Challenge is the University of Hartford's annual giving challenge! Each year in February, we ask alumni, parents, students, and friends of the University to rise to the occasion and help us meet a new challenge each year! The goal is get a certain number of donors to make a gift of ANY size within 48 hours. Ambassadors are essential to meeting the challenge! Thanks to our ambassadors, the 2017 Founders Day Challenge surpassed the goal by over 400 gifts! By sharing the challenge with their friends and asking their networks to participate, these ambassadors were responsible for helping raise over $52K in support of UHart students.
