Rudy Al Ahmar, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Engineering in the College of Engineering, Technology & Architecture. He earned his doctorate degree from Auburn University in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in fluid mechanics. His expertise is in rocket propulsion, aerodynamics, boundary layers, flow separation, swirling flows, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and heat transfer. He is teaching Aerodynamics I & II, Aerospace Dynamics Stability & Control, Aero Lab, and other fluid mechanics and aerospace related courses. Rudy is also a published author in multiple prestigious engineering journals including Physics of Fluids and International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer. Throughout his doctoral program, he has also received several recognitions, most notably, the President’s Award, AIAA Abe M. Zarem Award for distinguished achievement in Aeronautics, and Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for AY 24-25.
