Olivia Heui Young Park is an Assistant Professor of Acoustical Engineering in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture. She earned her doctoral degree from Penn State, where she explored the effects of noise on human performance, physiology, and speech perception by implementing realistic acoustic environments. Her research interests focus on the human aspect of acoustics and engineering. She aims to better understand how various aspects of acoustics affect individuals differently to develop more inclusive and effective acoustical solutions. She is very passionate about STEM Outreach, and have led and participated in various hands-on workshops for pre-K to graduate students. She has been an active member of both national and local chapters of Acoustical Society of America (ASA), Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
