Former Program Director and founding member of the Physical Therapy program Catherine Certo, PT, ScD, FAPTA, remains actively engaged with our DPT program at the University of Hartford.
Professional Interests
Certo’s research interest is in the effects of exercise on the cardiovascular/pulmonary system throughout the lifespan. Her work in this area has expanded to include the relationship between exercise and balance. Past project: Mobility Index: Developing a clinical test for assessing functional balance.
