Teaching Focus: Professor Charry is an instructor in the Lower Limb Prosthetics portion of the program’s curriculum, including both Transtibial and Transfemoral Prosthetics. These courses form the clinical foundations related to patient evaluation, care/maintenance, and prosthetic intervention. He also teaches Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Orthopedic Pathology, and Scientific Inquiry. His research interests focus on prosthetic componentry and socket technology.

Professional Interests: Professor Charry treats patients clinically in the greater Hartford area, through Hanger Clinic, and specializes in lower extremity prosthetics. He spends a large portion of his clinical time servicing providing comprehensive prosthetic care in a hospital-based setting. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists where he serves on the Evidence-Based Practice Committee. He is involved in a local non-profit organization, Dreaming and Working Together, that provides international prosthetic care to underserved areas. He consults on several grants for local companies and participates in research with colleagues within the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences.
