Teaching Focus: Jagaiah’s teaching focus is on introductory courses in special education, assessing students with special needs, and teacher preparation programs.

Professional Interests: Jagaiah’s research focuses on writing instruction and assessment to better meet students’ needs. Specifically, she focuses on mastery of foundational skills that will support students when they engage in more advanced skills in writing. She also provides consultation to the Special Education Finance Project on Funding Strategy for Special Education in Connecticut.
