Dr. Pogemiller teaches and assists with coursework on kinesiology, biomechanics, and clinical skills for graduate students in both the Doctor of Physical Therapy and Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics programs. She also orchestrates student placements in local and national clinical sites in the Doctor of Physical Therapy clinical education courses including both part-time and full-time experiences. She emphasizes providing context and relevance for foundational knowledge to allow students to make successful clinical connections in practice. Her expertise is in quantitative gait analysis and interpretation for both pediatric and adult clinical treatment recommendations.
Dr. Pogemiller’s clinical research interests include 3D gait analysis for surgical decision making and long term outcomes to optimize human movement. She also has research interest in how to support student learning in physical therapy education.
