Teaching Focus
Dr. Yang has expertise in cardiopulmonary physical therapy, exercise physiology, kinesiology, and research methods relating to rehabilitation and exercise science. Dr. Yang teaches/assists examination and intervention labs, acute care diagnosis and intervention, cardiopulmonary physical therapy, and student research project courses in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Research Interests
Dr. Yang's research focuses on exercise as therapy in cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation. Recent research projects include blood-flow restriction exercise in vascular health, and the role of exercise intervention, sex, and physical activity level in endothelial function.
