Teaching Philosophy

I believe every child can learn to play a musical instrument given the proper environment. Positive environmental factors include supportive, encouraging, motivating adults who teach by example. A student-centered approach to learning empowers each child with skills needed to function in today’s society. People of all ages who experience a positive exposure to music can develop a commitment to music which will last a lifetime.
