Lauren Torres Lambert is from Somerset, New Jersey. She graduated from The Hartt School with Bachelor and Graduate degrees in Music Education Pedagogy. Mrs. Lambert has studied with Weston Hurt, who performed with the New York City Opera, Robert Barefield while at The Hartt School; ​and most recently with Benjamin Rauch. Mrs. Lambert worked more than ten summers at a music camp for young children through Westminster Conservatory of Rider University where she first gained knowledge of early childhood education and children’s developing voices.

Lambert is the director of the Connecticut Children's Chorus's Overture Choir here at HCD. She is a soprano with The Hartford Chorale, the leading symphonic chorus for the greater Hartford area and primary chorus for The Hartford Symphony Orchestra. She was appointed to the Board of Directors in the spring of 2014 and heads the Chorale’s Internship Program. She has been a featured soloist with Hartford Symphony’s education and outreach programing and has presenting alongside HCD colleagues at the Connecticut Music Educators Association Conference. Lambert is a full-time general music teacher and choir director at The University of Hartford Magnet School where she works closely with the music education programs of both The Hartt School and UCONN, mentoring college students during their coarse work. Her goal as an educator is to instill a love and passion for music that is reflected her student’s performances and musical experiences.
