Nina Miller received her music education in Ukraine, studying piano with Eugenia Borisova. She graduated from the Chernigov School of Music summa cum laude. She has been teaching piano privately for more than 30 years.

Her music career has given her a variety of opportunities: holding the position of music editor of Lvov Philharmonic Society in her native Ukraine, accompanying children choir, working as music director at different religious institutions and composing for choir and soloists. Her experience in the US includes more than decade of teaching piano at Greater Hartford Academy
of Arts and accompanying for classical and modern ballet at Hartford Ballet, Nutmeg Conservatory and Hartt School of Music.

Nina Miller is a member of Suzuki Association of Americas, Music Teachers National Association and Connecticut State Teacher Association.

She is passionately involved in the Suzuki method, finding Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy fascinating and very close to her way of teaching, which pays enormous attention to the beauty of each note. She believes in the nurturing of every child’s ability.

It is very important to her to find that special, unique way to the heart and mind of each of her student, to adjust her teaching to the most efficient way the child can learn.

It is very important to find a special, unique way to the heart and mind of each of student and to adjust teaching to the most efficient way that the child can learn. Attention to details, proper body and hand position, and good work ethic are important starting from the first lesson.
