Michael Dodge, EdD, MBA, is Associate Vice President for Student Experience and Dean of Students at the University of Hartford. His work focuses on student success, leadership, organizational change, and higher education policy and practice. As an educator and scholar, he is particularly interested in helping students connect research and theory to real-world challenges in educational organizations.
Dr. Dodge brings more than 20 years of experience across academic affairs, student affairs, teaching, and institutional leadership. His professional work has included leadership in student success, academic administration, student engagement, residential life, organizational development, accreditation, and the creation of programs and partnerships designed to expand access and opportunity for students.
His scholarly interests include higher education leadership and policy, organizational change and development, student success, social networking and digital communities, and the experiences and support of LGBTQ+ college students.
