M.Ed., Student Affairs Practice in Higher Education, University of Virginia
B.A., Cognitive Science, University of Virginia
A fun fact about me is that in college I did the Semester at Sea study abroad program and traveled to 12 different countries on 4 continents. I hiked and slept in the Atlas mountains in Morocco, went zorbing on a sand dune in Namibia, and climbed a volcano in Guatemala. That semester was probably the best and most interesting time of my life!
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is the fun and supportive atmosphere of UHart. I think this is something that continues to come through even with all of us being online, and I think that’s unique and awesome.
Advice to incoming students?
My advice for new students is to communicate! Everyone wants to help you navigate the transition from high school to college, but we don’t always know if you need something unless you are in contact with us (us being your advisor, your professors, and any other student support services!)
What are your hobbies?
Some of my hobbies in my “normal life” are yoga and eating at restaurants. Right before the pandemic, I was getting into indoor sport climbing and I can’t wait until the climbing gym reopens. My pandemic hobby is doing Masterclasses online and learning about everything from space travel to economics to cooking—directly from the experts.
