Connecticut-based mezzo-soprano Christiana Montalbano is a dynamic and passionate singer, music educator, and arts administrator with over sixteen years of performance experience. A recent graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, Christiana earned a BA in Music with a Concentration in Vocal Performance, where they studied with Drs. Emily Riggs and David Ballena, and a BA in New Media Studies with a Concentration in Performance Media. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, Christiana has performed extensively as an ensemble member and featured soloist, including on Josh Groban’s “Bridges” Tour; Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience; and Andrea Bocelli’s “Valentines” and “Holiday” Tours; with Opera Viva! Young Artists’ Opera Intensive in Verona, Italy; and with the Albany Symphony Orchestra’s "American Music Festival". Christiana is a member of Hartford’s professional chamber choir, Voce, and is the alto choral scholar at Saint John’s Episcopal Church in West Hartford. In addition to teaching voice at The Hartt School Community Division, Christiana is also on the faculty of Summit Music Center in Manchester, where they teach voice and piano and serve as the studio administrator.
