The American Association of University Professors or AAUP is a nonprofit membership association of faculty and other academic professionals. The University of Hartford chapter formed in 2014.
The goal of the AAUP chapter is to support U of H uphold professional values and standards for higher education, advance the rights of academics, particularly as those rights pertain to academic freedom and shared governance, and promote the interests of higher education teaching and research.

Any faculty member of the university may attend a AAUP meeting or join the chapter. Only chapter members may vote.
Faculty members who wish to find out more information or attend a meeting may do so without their information being disclosed.
