Exciting experiences await you at The Hartford Art School Galleries

The Hartford Art School Galleries encompass the Joseloff Gallery, the Donald and Linda Silpe Gallery, the Helen S. Kaman Print Study Center, and the Art on Campus initiative. Our purpose is to launch conversations, expand creative thinking, and kindle engagement with our community through the lens of contemporary art. From thematic and retrospective exhibitions featuring globally renowned artists to experimental collaborations, a variety of exhibitions are on display year-round. We are free and open to the public—a hub for everyone in the community to gather, learn, and imagine through art.  

Coming Soon: Faculty Biennial

September 9–December 12

The 2026-27 exhibition season kicks off with the Faculty Biennial exhibition, held September 9–12 in the Joseloff Gallery.

An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 5-7 p.m. 

Additionally, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, 12 - 1:30 p.m., an event, 'Briefly Speaking - Short-form Lectures by Art History Faculty' will be held in Wilde Auditorium. This event is held concurrent to The Hartford Art School Faculty Biennial, where Art History Faculty will present 15 minute presentations on their new research. Participants are: Fran Altvater, Amanda Carlson, Alexandra Onuf, and Rashmi Viswanathan.

The Faculty Biennial and concurrent events are free and open to the public.
