Connecticut Pledge Scholarship Will Make a UHart Education More Accessible
The University of Hartford is becoming more affordable for lower-income Connecticut students.
Starting in the fall of 2020, the new Connecticut Pledge Scholarship will be available for qualifying first-year students who are from the state. The scholarship is worth $12,000 over four years.
The University is committed to contributing to the state’s economic growth by making higher education accessible and preparing the next generation of innovators, makers, and creative thinkers. Connecticut is home to more than 30,000 alumni, the highest number of any four-year private institution in the state. They work in diverse fields including business, engineering, health care, and the arts. Collaborations with local companies, agencies, and nonprofits give students hands-on training in the fields they love, while creating a pipeline of qualified potential employees.
Victoria Hampton , Associate Vice President of Enrollment and Financial AidWe are investing in Connecticut’s future. By removing barriers that prevent talented students from receiving a high-quality, private college education, we help keep them in the state during school and then working here after they graduate.
The Connecticut Pledge Scholarship can be combined with the University’s other scholarships for academic merit, program-specific interests, and artistic talent and performance.
Full details and eligibility requirements for the Connecticut Pledge and other scholarships are available on the University’s admission website.
