Training Form

Sergeant Chaun Jones provides safety and preparedness trainings to the UHart community. A list of safety training courses are below:

  • ALICE: ALICE teaches attendees to respond with confidence, increasing the survivability of an act of violence. ALICE strategies can reduce anxiety, and build confidence. Training time: 4 hours.
  • Threats to Campus (Active Shooter): The course explains the Run, Hide, Fight tactics suggested by the F.B.I.; It further provides information on what you can expect upon the arrival of law enforcement.  Additionally, the PowerPoint presentation provides information pertaining to resources available to you as members of the UHart community. Training time: 1.5 hours.
  • Club Car Safety: Provide club car nomenclature and safety rules for operating a golf cart and Kubota on UHart property. Training time: 1 hour.
  • Situational Awareness: Situational Awareness teaches those that attend to be aware of their surroundings. Being aware of your environment and the people in that environment can help you comprehend the meaning behind your perception, and will guide what decisions and outcomes you make in an emergency.
