This past weekend, Christopher (Khris) Henry ’19 earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from The Hartt School. He is the youngest of 9 and the first in his family to graduate college.
During his Sophomore year at UHart, Christopher's mother was diagnosed with cancer. He contemplated dropping out of school to help take care of his mother, but she wanted him to finish school. She passed away the summer before the start of his Junior Year. Deeply saddened by her passing, Christopher was determined to complete his college education and fulfill his mother’s wish.
After having graduated this past weekend, Christopher will soon move to Boston to work for Urbanity Dance as one of their dancers for the upcoming season. He will also continue to share his passion for the arts through teaching.
