A&S students who made the Dean’s List in their first semester and those who gave award-winning presentations at the Annual First-Year Seminar Symposium in December, were recognized for their achievements with a reception in the Shaw Center on Monday.
Interim Dean Mark Blackwell and Associate Dean for Student Academic Service Julie Sochacki presented the students with congratulatory certificates. Faculty and staff were also on hand to provide the more than 50 students in attendance with information about joining the University’s Honors program, the College’s master’s programs in communication and psychology, and opportunities to serve as an A&S ambassador.
