Romanian Artist Group Exhibit at Silpe Gallery

Meanders/Meandre, created by department of Architecture Adjunct Professor Ioana Barac for the Romanian Artist Connection, is on view at Silpe Gallery until June 28. The show features work from nine Romanian-born painters, sculptors and illustrators practicing in the U.S. and abroad: Adrian Panaitisor, Ileana Dumitriu, Liviu Cupceancu, Luiza Budea, and Ioana Barac (CT); Ioana Hobai (MA), Iulian Budea (NY), Flavius Lucacel (Romania), and Ion Severin (UK & Moldova).

The varied works, arranged in harmony and contrast, include several new installations Barac created with pieces salvaged from her Atelier Cue, Bloomerstudio, and Floracol Studio collaborations, re-created for the unique space and experience of the show.
